About

The Berlin Senate Department for Economics, Technology and Women's Issues is responsible for the control and support of economic activities in the German capital, as for instance for innovative industries. "Transport system technologies" is one of five competence fields of the Senate Department.

Partners' role in the project

The Berlin Senate Department for Economics, Technology and Women's Issues mainly works on rail technologies and green corridor development. In detail it

  • performs an interoperability analysis of train systems in Germany and Scandinavia on long-distance connections between Berlin and Scandinavia (action 3.2: "Improvements in rail traffic")
  • works towards the "Green transport corridor" by activating cooperation potentials in the corridor in close cooperation with the project partners Roskilde University and Royal Institute of Technology Stockholm (action 5.1: "Activating cooperation potentials in the corridor")
