The University of Applied Sciences Wildau provides comprehensive expertise in logistics research. It is excellently networked and provides an interface to further relevant corridor and logistics projects such as "South-North-Axis" (SoNorA) and "Freight and Logistics Advancement in Central/South-East Europe - Validation of trade and transport processes, Implementation of improvement actions, Application of Co-coordinated structures" (FLAVIA).

Partners' role in the project

The University of Applied Sciences Wildau is focusing on logistics development in the corridor, namely:

  • providing expertise on optimizing freight terminal logistics in the capital region of Berlin-Brandenburg (action 3.1 "Development of intermodal nodes")
  • developing new solutions for biomass and port-hinterland logistics as well as conducting a study on shippers behaviour (action 4.1 "Development of logistic solutions")
  • providing expertise on logistic transport systems as input for the "Basic description of the corridor functionality" (action 5.2 "Benchmarking of the corridor functionality")
