Baltic Sea Region Programme

Scandria is co-financed by the European Union within the framework of the Baltic Sea Region Programme 2007-2013.

The Baltic Sea Region Programme promotes regional development through transnational cooperation.

In that context, eleven countries around the Baltic Sea initiated a close cooperation with the goal to find joint solutions for mutual problems.

The Programme's strategic objective is to make the Baltic Sea region an attractive place to invest, work and live in.

The Programme co-finances projects committed to:

  • Foster innovations
  • Increase internal and external accessibility
  • Benefit from the Baltic Sea as a common resource
  • Advance the attractiveness and competitiveness of cities and regions.

Within the Programme, Scandria contributes to the improvement of the internal and external accessibility of the Baltic Sea Region by improving the connection from Scandinavia to Central and Southern Europe.
